Cecilia Garcia Akers and others testified against the removing of Dr. Hector and other Civil Rights Leaders from the  required the high school history curriculum at both the Senate and House hearing for SB3. Most were reinstated in the the bill. Bills that passed this session represent a direct threat to everything Dr. Hector believed in.
