Info About the Event

This year's birthday celebration will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the American Bank Center, Corpus Christi, TX at 11:15 am. The proceeds from this event are used for scholarships and assistance for veterans and the continuing effort of the Dr. Hector P. Garcia Center at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Your support will ensure Dr. Garcia's legacy, and everything that has been done for veterans.

Keynote Speaker: Tony Plana

 We are honored to have Tony Plana, legendary TV celebrity and film actor, be this year's keynote speaker. Tony has starred in more than 60 feature films and also has directed two comedies: A Million to Juan and The Princess and the Barrio Boy. Tony is dedicated to providing economically-challenged communities with educational outreach programs with media arts and education through the East LA Classic Theatre that he co-founded.
