Sept. 18: Creating a Legacy – The Life of Dr. Hector P. Garcia

The History Area and the Mexican American Studies program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will celebrate the memory and legacy of civil rights pioneer, Dr. Hector P. Garcia, on Wednesday, Sept. 18, from 2-3 p.m. in University Center Bayview, room 320. Dr. Michelle Hall Kells, a nationally recognized scholar of Garcia's civil rights rhetoric and a professor at University of New Mexico, will speak to Garcia’s ability to move the masses.
