So, today at the Mexican-American Studies class at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, we had a discussion about the novel GIANT, written by Edna Ferber. The class was unaware that Dr. Hector Garcia, assisted Ms. Ferber in her travels around Texas for her to have a realistic view of the State. Based on the King Ranch, the movie produced in 1956 represents a "Texas today, but hopes of Texas tomorrow".
