This Sunday Speaker Series will be a discussion on the life and accomplishments of Dr. Hector P. Garcia. A Mexican immigrant to Mercedes, TX in 1917, Dr. Garcia achieved the American Dream as a physician, activist, veteran and statesman. Cecilia Garcia Akers’ new book The Inspiring Life of Texan Hector P. Garcia will be available for purchase and each copy will be personally inscribed.
