The H. Boyd Hall Diamond Award was presented to Jim and Cecilia Akers for their dedication to achieve equity and social inclusion by advancing practices that expand human rights and accelerate the well being of all persons. So very grateful and appreciative of being recognized in this manner.

We are so honored and excited to announce that UTMB Galveston has graciously donated this historical exhibit to the Dr. Hector P Garcia Memorial Foundation. We plan to take it everywhere when we travel. I am so humbled by the University's generosity.

Exciting News! Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will soon commence construction of a state-of-the-art Arts and Media Building. The new facility will provide an improved environment for music, theatre, and dance education. The new Arts and Media Building will also house a display honoring civil rights advocate and Corpus Christi icon Dr. Hector P Garcia.
