The Dr. Hector P. Garcia Memorial Foundation awarded 3 recipients at the Annual Legacy Celebration Luncheon which was held on January 20, 2023. We are proud of the contributions of these distinguished individuals who have given back to the community in the area of education. Please help congratulate these great individuals.
The recipients are:
Dr. Abel Antonio Chavez, PRESIDENT'S AWARD- President of Our Lady of the Lake University.
Dr. Kelly Miller, LEGACY AWARD, President of Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi.
Lt. Col. US Army (Retired) Pat Simon, COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD, KRIS TV 6 News Anchor.

2023 Dr. Hector P. Garcia Legacy Luncheon
On January 20th, 2023, hundreds of people from across the state of Texas came together to celebrate the birthday of Civil Rights Hero, Dr. Hector P. Garcia. This annual luncheon also helps keep Dr. Hector’s legacy alive and supports the organization named in his honor, The Dr. Hector P. Garcia Memorial Foundation.
