2024 Luncheon Keynote Speaker Announced

The Dr. Hector P. Garcia Memorial Foundation is honored to announce that Senator Juan Chuy Hinojosa, from McAllen, Tx is our next keynote speaker for our Signature Luncheon to be held on January 26, 2024 at the Omni Hotel in Corpus Christi, TX. The focus of this year's celebration will be on the military.
Senator Hinojosa is a proud U.S. Marine, who currently serves as Vice Chair of the Senate Finance Committee. He was instrumental in securing funding for the 1 billion dollar Harbor Bridge Replacement Project. In 2021, Senator Hinojosa secured 45 million dollars for the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Arts and Media Building.
In 2009, Senator Hinojosa passed legislation to designate the 3rd Wednesday in September as Dr. Hector P. Garcia Day, which authorized the observance of this day by schools and state agencies to honor Dr. Garcia and teach younger generations about his legacy.
We are very honored and excited to be working with Senator Hinojosa on the Foundation's endeavors.
