KRIS 6News Pat Simon offers this great story celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and Dr. Hector P. Garcia.  

The Department of Theatre and Dance at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi has created a play based on the life of Dr. Hector P. Garcia. The play,“House Bill 3979 Amendment #10: The Life and Works of Dr. Hector P. Garcia” was written by Latina playwright Iraisa Ann Reilly. You will thoroughly enjoy this unique play about a true South Texas Hero.                                                                                                                                                                                         

Performances were Sept. 27, through Saturday, Oct. 1 at the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Warren Theatre. The students and all involved with this unique play did an amazing job paying tribute to Civil Rights Icon, Dr. Hector P. Garcia.

As we observe Hispanic Heritage Month, we recognize those individuals who have made a difference in our communities. Dr. Hector P.
